Last weekend I was with the Surrey and Sussex coppice group entertaining the public at the Weald wood fair. I saw a stall with some guys making bowls by hand carving logs.
Inspired by this I though I would give it a try.
Here’s my effort.
When I first started woodworking it was wood turning I first started with. I fell out of love with it a few years ago, but now I’ve fallen back in love with it.
I’m also creating a new style of garden furniture which can be flat packed.
Beautiful light in December. Something magical about it.
No sooner has the sun come up it start to set again.
The colours are changing in Morgans wood as the trees go to sleep for winter.
Beautiful colours of this Field Maple.
Things are coming along in the area being coppiced this winter. Just need to mark out which trees will be left and which will be coppiced.
